Weather Discussion:
A weak tropical wave is crossing the islands, with a few scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms across St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG)… Residents and motorists in areas prone to flash-flooding and landslides or near rivers and streams should be alert…Weak unstable conditions could linger across SVG for a few days, maintaining occasional cloudiness, a few showers and isolated thunderstorms. Patches of Saharan dust could limit shower activity and create moderate/thick-haze across our area at times.
Moderate-fresh (20 - 35km/h) breeze continues across our islands, becoming gentle-moderate (15 - 25km/h) during Friday and Saturday. Wind directions could range between northeast and east southeast in some locations.
Sea conditions are slight to moderate in open water, with swells near 1.0m(3ft) west of our islands and 1.8m(6ft) east of our islands. Swell heights could slightly rise, near 1.2m(4ft) west of our islands and 2.0m(6.5ft) east of our islands by tonight (Wednesday) and during Thursday, then gradually fall to range 1.0m(3ft) to 1.5m(5ft) across SVG by weekend.
