Weather Discussion:
Over the next few days, a broad area of disturbance associated with tropical waves could maintain showers and thunderstorms across the islands. Significant rainfall accumulations (75 - 100mm or 3 - 4inches) with thunderstorm activity are likely across St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG), by Wednesday afternoon...Residents and motorists in areas prone to flash-flooding and landslides or near rivers and streams should exercise caution…Meanwhile, patches of Saharan dust are limiting shower activity and creating slight/moderate-haze across our area at times.
Moderate-fresh (20 - 35km/h) northeasterly breeze across our islands, could turn southeasterly during Wednesday and Thursday. Wind speeds could temporarily increase near 40km/h during Thursday morning…Be Aware!
Sea conditions are slight to moderate in open water, with swells near 1.0m(3ft) west of our islands and 1.5m(5ft) east of our islands. Swell heights could temporarily rise during Thursday, ranging 1.5m(5ft) - 2.5(8ft) across our islands…Small-craft operators and sea bathers should exercise caution for above normal swells. .
