Although the Atlantic high pressure system is exerting its dominance across the eastern Caribbean, a few patches of moisture embedded within the wind field will generate occasional cloudy skies and instigate some showers within the next 24 hours across our islands. Sunny and warm conditions are likely on Sunday whereas a weak shearline could trigger a few passing showers on Monday.

Gentle to moderate (~20-30 km/h) east north-easterly trades are crossing our islands shifting to south easterly from Saturday. A decrease (~10-20 km/h) in speeds is expected on Sunday. Seas are slight to moderate in open water with swells peaking near 1.0m on western coasts and near 2.2m on eastern coasts. Small craft operators and sea bathers should exercise caution for above normal sea swells. Marine conditions should improve significantly by Sunday. Slight Saharan dust haze concentrations are crossing the islands but should thin out by Thursday.
