Weather Discussion:
Saharan dust-haze across our area could thin out tonight (Tuesday), leaving a film/slight-haze across our area by Wednesday. Over the next few days, a few showers are likely across St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) with a chance of isolated thunderstorms by Thursday night…The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Meteorological Services (SVG MET Services) will continue to monitor Tropical Storm Erin (expected to strengthen) as it moves across the Atlantic Ocean and issue updates/advisories as necessary.
Moderate (~25km/h) northeasterly breeze across our islands are likely to decrease (~10km/h) by Thursday and turn east southeasterly. Wind directions could vary widely during Friday, with wind speeds possibly reducing near calm (0 - 5km/h) and causing conditions to become warm and uncomfortable…Be aware!
Sea conditions are slight to moderate in open water, with swells near 0.5m(1.5ft) west of our islands and ranging 1.2m(4ft) to 1.5m(6ft) east of our islands. By Friday, seas especially on western coasts of our islands may appear smooth at times.
