The Atlantic high pressure system will exert its dominance over our islands for the majority of this forecast period. In addition, a few passing sporadic showers could interrupt warm conditions as this week progresses. Meanwhile, the SVG Meteorological Services will continue to monitor a tropical wave along 24W with a low (20%) chance of tropical cyclone development within the next 7 days. This wave could bring some showers across our islands later this week. The public is advised to stay tuned for updated information disseminated from SVG Meteorological Services.

Gentle to moderate (~15-25 km/h) south-easterly trades will crossing our islands during the next 24 hours. A decrease (~10-20 km/h) in speeds is expected on Tuesday with a temporary shift to east north easterly. Wind speeds should increase (~20-30 km/h) by midweek. Seas are smooth to slight in open water with swells peaking near 0.5m on western coasts and near 1.5m on eastern coasts. Seas could become slight to moderate (1.0 m - 2.0m) by Wednesday. Saharan dust haze concentrations should begin to cross our islands from midweek.
