Weather Discussion:

Unstable conditions are supporting scattered showers across across St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) and thunderstorm activity could increase by Wednesday…Residents and motorists in areas prone to flash-flooding and landslides or near rivers and streams should be alert…Showers and thunderstorm activity are likely to decrease during Friday.

Meanwhile, Tropical Storm Lorenzo is weakening in the Atlantic Ocean.

The St. Vincent and the Grenadines Meteorological Services (SVG MET Services) will continue to monitor other developments and issue updates/advisories as necessary.

Gentle-moderate (10 - 20km/h) breeze across our islands could increase (25 - 30km/h) during Thursday with south-southeasterly winds. By late Friday, wind directions could vary between east northerly easterly and east southeasterly in some locations.

Sea conditions are slight in open water, with swells ranging 0.5m(1.5ft) to 1.2m(4ft) across SVG. Occasional gusts and a slight rise {1.0m(3ft) to 1.5m(5ft)} in swell heights may be noticeable across SVG during Thursday…Small-craft operators should exercise caution.
