Shearline/trough across our area could result in few scattered showers as shallow cloud clusters should cross the islands within the easterly trades occasionally. Dust concentrations of varying intensity are resulting in hazy conditions mostly across The Grenadines today associated with Sahara Air Layer. Weak upper level support should decrease with more dry air possibly limiting showers on Saturday.

A tropical wave is expected to pass south of our area late Saturday, with mid-level moisture and upper level support resulting in showers across the southern Windward Islands (including SVG) on Sunday. ....thunderstorm activity is possible by evening.

On Monday, the Atlantic High Pressure System should transport more dust /dry concentrations across the islands with breezy conditions continuing into Tuesday. Meanwhile, another tropical wave near 32 W and south of 15 N moving westward at about 15 kt (17 mph), should be approaching the island chain around Tuesday.

Moderate (20 - 30km/h) easterly breeze can be expected this afternoon, briefly backing to east north-easterly overnight. A gradual increase in wind speeds can be expected by Sunday into early next week.

Mean sea-level pressure ranging 1015 - 1018 mb can be expected into the weekend. Slight to moderate easterly sea swells peaking near 1.2m on west coasts and near 1.8m on east coasts should gradually rise late Saturday. Wave heights could range 1.2 - 1.8 m on west coasts and 1.5 - 2.4 m on east coasts by Sunday afternoon.

Slight haze during Saturday should give way to showers on Sunday, possibly thickening across SVG by night fall.
