The High Wind warning remains in effect for St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG), as occasional strong to high-winds (40-60 km/h) continue to affect exposed areas. A reduction in wind speeds to mostly fresh (30-40 km/h) can be expected from Monday afternoon when the Atlantic High Pressure is expected to weaken across our area. Gusty conditions especially near showers are expected this evening into tonight,

as lower level moisture and unstable conditions along the southern edge of the High Pressure System converges across our islands. Upper levels could support few scattered showers on Monday into early Tuesday.

Dust concentrations of PM2.5 could reach near 30µg/m3 and PM10 levels near54 µg/m3 by early Monday significantly reducing visibility and air quality. Another area of easterly wave should be approaching the islands late Wednesday increasing chances of showers on Thursday. Meanwhile, a temporary thinning of haze is also possible during Thursday. 

Mean sea-level pressure should rise temporarily rise to 1018mb Sunday into early Monday then fall back to 1014- 1017 mb by Tuesday.

Moderate sea swells can be expected on the west coast to peak near 2.4m. The east coast could experience moderate to rough swells peaking 3.0m. ... The Small craft Warning, for strong winds and above normal seas swells, remains in effect until 6:00 PM, Monday 25th June 2018. Wave heights should be retreating late Monday into Tuesday, to peak on the west coast near 1.2m and on the east coast near 1.8 by Wednesday evening.
