Moisture remains elevated as a tropical wave continues to affect the islands. Mostly Grenada and Trinidad in the south have reported rain and moderate shower activity as significant convection is mostly confined to the south. Saint Vincent and the Grenadines will continue to experience breezy conditions and occasional showers this afternoon with a high chance for periods of rain over the Southern Grenadines.

An improvement is anticipated for tonight with some fair conditions possible tomorrow. However, breezy conditions should persist, with winds becoming stronger, approximately (50km/h) due to a wind surge ahead of the next forecast tropical wave. This tropical wave currently along 36W is forecast to be in the vicinity by Saturday. Model guidance is indicating a high chance (80%) for some moderate showers around Sunday afternoon.

North east to easterly winds approximately 25km/h to 45km/h is forecast, increasing to 50km/h by tomorrow. Generally moderate sea conditions are likely with swells peaking to 2.5m on the east coast. Small craft operators and sea bathers should exercise caution. Intrusion of Saharan dust mass into the vicinity may reduce visibility as time progresses.
