At 11pm, Hurricane Beryl was located near latitude 10.9 North, longitude 48.9 West, or about 890 miles east of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG).

"Beryl" is forecast to move west north-west near 14 mph (22 km/h) towards the northern potion of the Lesser Antilles, where Hurricane and Tropical Storm Watches remains in place for some of those islands.

Maximum sustained winds are near 80 mph with higher gust. Slight strengthening is forecast during the next few days, and "Beryl" could remain a hurricane when it reaches the Lesser Antilles late Sunday into Monday.

Hurricane Beryl is a compact hurricane. Hurricane- force winds (74 mph and more) extend outward up to 10 miles from the center, and tropical storm-force winds (39 to 73 mph) extend outward up to 35 miles

At present, SVG is NOT under a tropical cyclone Watch as on it's present track, "Beryl" is forecast to past north of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines early Monday.

All residents are however advised to keep informed on the progress of this system, as additional Watches or Warnings could be required for other islands early Saturday.
