Moisture trailing behind the tropical wave; and a favourable positioned upper level trough resulted in showers and light rain that reduced visibility over St. Lucia and Martinique, while mostly partly cloudy skies with a few vicinity showers were reported at the Argyle International Airport this morning.
Though the tropical wave continues its westward movement into the Caribbean Sea, the atmosphere continues to be moist across the region, and occasional cloudiness and some scattered showers are still likely this afternoon.
However, from tonight, the Atlantic Ridge of high pressure will begin to re-establish itself across the Eastern Caribbean, and apart from a few early morning showers, some fair conditions are forecast for Saint Vincent and the Grenadines from tomorrow into mid week.
Breezy conditions are also expected to return by Tuesday as the Ridge of high pressure dominates the weather pattern. Currently, gentle breeze should persist into tonight and sight sea conditions (1.0m-1.2m) on both the west and east coast should be observed, increasing gradually to moderate (1.5-2.0) by Wednesday.
Haze intrusion varying in intensity is likely throughout this forecast period (up to Wednesday night).
