A trough will be affecting the islands tonight; model guidance is indicating a relatively dry atmosphere, with the possibility of occasional shallow showers, breezy and slightly hazy conditions.
However, moisture level is forecast to increase as of tomorrow as a tropical wave currently analyzed at 51W/52W should be in the vicinity by late Monday. Previous analysis had indicated nearby precipitation to be mostly related to the monsoon trough/ITCZ proximity, to the extreme south, but further analysis suggest showers over the Grenadine islands from Tuesday morning into the afternoon. A brief drying out of the atmosphere is likely around Tuesday night, before the next tropical wave approaches the islands to affect Wednesday into Thursday. At present, no significant showers are associated with this wave.
ENE- E winds at 20km/h-40km/h is forecast. A decrease in wind speed to 15km/h-30km/h from Monday into Tuesday is likely due to approaching instability, increasing briefly around Tuesday night into Wednesday, before becoming gentle around Wednesday night. Sea conditions should remain slight to moderate (1.2-1.5m), becoming generally slight on both the west and east coast around Wednesday. Occasional slight haze should continue across the islands over the next few days.
