Instability lingers across our area due to passing troughs and occasional upper level support enhancing shower activity. The next tropical wave should be crossing our area late Thursday bringing about 1 - 2 inches (25 - 50mm) rainfall across St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) during Friday to Saturday. Instability is expected to remain elevated through to the weekend (Saturday),
with south easterly wind flow causing lower level moisture to converge across the islands. Over the next few days, residents and motorists should continue to exercise caution near rivers, streams and low lying areas during shower episodes.
Moderate (20 - 30km/h) breeze this afternoon is expected to increase to fresh during the night. Overnight Thursday, the wind direction should briefly back to east north-easterly with the crossing of a tropical wave, to veer again on Friday and become gentle by afternoon.
Mean Sea level Pressure readings should be fluctuating between 1009mb and 1012mb across our area.
Slight seas on the west coasts should peak near 1.2m; while on the east coasts slight to moderate seas should peak near 1.8m with east north-easterly swells.
A thin dust patch across our area should create only slight haze into Thursday.
