An approaching surface to low level trough is expected to move over the southern part of the region overnight and linger during the next 24 hours. As a result, deterioration in the weather conditions is likely over St. Vincent and the Grenadines from late tonight and into tomorrow (Wednesday), with cloudy skies and some pockets of moderate to heavy showers. Consequently, Residents and motorists in low lying areas and near rivers and streams should be alert.
By Thursday, The Atlantic high pressure system will dominate the weather conditions over the region allowing for mostly fair skies. However, patches of low level clouds moving along an easterly wind flow will produce scattered showers. Similar conditions can also be anticipated on Friday and over the weekend.
Easterly to North-easterly winds ranging between 15 to 40 km/h (9 to 25 mph) are expected during the next 72 hours.
Moderate 2.5 meters (8.0 feet) easterly sea swells are forecast during the next few days. Small-craft operators and sea bathers should continue to exercise caution.
No Saharan dust haze is expected during this forecast period.
