The Western Atlantic High Pressure System dominated the region, but weak low level troughing brought occasional brief showers across St.Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) over the past 24-36 hours. A shearline/trough is expected across our area by early morning Sunday, weakening the pressure gradient and bringing increased instability across SVG as moisture/showers converge across our area
during Sunday. Cloudiness/shower activity should be decreased during Monday, but occasional showers are expected on Tuesday with a weaker shearline feature.
Moderate to fresh north-easterly trades (20 - 40km/h) should back to north north-easterly tonight veering to east south-easterly during Sunday afternoon. On Monday and Tuesday, weak pulses in the wind-flow may be noticeable with fresh breeze during the early morning hours and moderate breeze by afternoons.
Swells are returning from the east today while gradually decreasing, effect of wind across the open water may result in slight rise during Sunday, but wave heights are expected to range 1.0 – 2.0m by late Sunday.
Fairly good visibility is expected, with occasional slight hazy conditions on our horizon.
