The Western Atlantic High Pressure system is dominant across our area; but weak shearline features across the island chain (including mainland St.Vincent), could result in brief shallow showers tonight and few scattered showers on Saturday. A shearline could linger across the Central Windward Islands on Sunday. The southward dip of one such shearline feature late Monday should bring increased cloudiness
and chance of showers across SVG.
Meanwhile, moderate to fresh (20-40km/h) north-easterly breeze transporting cooler air from higher latitudes continues across the islands. Wind direction could veer to east-southeasterly with the crossing of shearlines over the weekend.
Slight to moderate seas (1.2 - 2.5m) are expected into Saturday, decreasing to 1.0 - 2.0m by late Sunday across SVG.
Barometric readings should range 1015 - 1018mb throughout the weekend.
Hazy conditions are expected late Saturday into Sunday with dust concentration approaching our area from the east.….JMCD
