The cloud mass(disturbance) ahead of Tropical depression 14, could develop just east of the island chain by weekend. This would be our ‘first area of concern’. Be prepared!!!
Late Sunday, moisture associated with the leading edge of the next tropical wave (disturbance) is expected to approach our islands. There is a high chance (90%) a tropical depression
could form just east of the island chain by this weekend. The disturbance is about 1200 miles east of the Windward Islands moving westward to west-northwestward at about 15 mph.
Copious amounts of showers/rain, thunderstorm activity and squally conditions from Sunday night/early Monday across SVG are expected to persist through to Wednesday.
Tropical depression#14 has become less organized since earlier today, but is forecast to become a Tropical Storm over the weekend. The depression has jogged a little northward this afternoon, but the long-term motion is expected to be west-northwestward.
