The Atlantic High Pressure System is becoming the dominant feature across our islands, with breezy conditions, slight haze and a few showers due to a wake cloud between Barbados and mainland St.Vincent. A low-level trough with weak instability could result in a few scattered showers late Saturday into Sunday. The next tropical wave should be approaching the islands on Monday,

with scattered showers increasing on Tuesday and accompanied by strong winds (30-50km/h, with occasional higher gusts), periods of rain, and isolated thunderstorms. However, a patch of Saharan dust is moving along with this tropical wave which could limit showers and reduce visibility.

Moderate to fresh (25 - 45 km/h) easterly breeze are across the islands, should be reduced during Saturday to moderate (20 - 30 km/h). Directions could back to east north-east by evening with the approach of the trough, veering to south easterly late Sunday. Easterly fresh breeze should indicate the approach of the tropical wave during Monday.

Slight to moderate sea conditions across our islands, with easterly swells ranging range 1.2 – 1.8m on west coasts and 1.8 – 2.5 m on east coasts. Wave heights should retreat during Saturday to increase again by Tuesday. Moderate haze this afternoon due to a patch of Saharan dust (40 - 80 µg/m3), should thin out during the weekend and possibly increase by Tuesday.
