72 Hours Outlook

Expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with scattered showers as upper level northerly wind flow support low- level to mid level trough across our area later today into Saturday. Some isolated thunderstorms over the central Windward Islands this afternoon are also possible. Moisture converging on southwestern side of a building Atlantic High Pressure could add to instability. A tropical wave is expected to follow on Sunday with some showers. Meanwhile, the remnants of Lee in the Atlantic Ocean should gradually dissipate. 

Moderate (20-35km/h) to fresh east south-easterly breeze expected to become steady fresh breeze (29-38km/h) by Monday. Some northerly swells still possible on west coasts Saturday as Maria propagates swells southward. Seas should be slight to moderate with south-easterly swells, increasing on Saturday evening to moderate (up to 2m) on east coasts, then across SVG Sunday. These moderate swells should continue on Monday as the high winds agitate the ocean waters.
Slight haze thins out on today, returning Sunday night to significantly reduce visibility on Monday; as the High Pressure System will result in dry, hazy and breezy conditions.
