Model guidance is not indicating any significant shower activity and mostly fair conditions are forecast for this afternoon. The atmosphere will remain dry until tomorrow afternoon and any possible showers are likely to be brief.
Thereafter, an area of low pressure associated with a tropical wave will be in the vicinity and scattered showers are likely across Saint Vincent and the Grenadines from Thursday evening. Lingering moisture associated with this wave will continue to affect SVG on Friday.
Meanwhile, another tropical wave located off the west coast of Africa, is forecast to move quickly westward over the tropical Atlantic, to be in the vicinity around Sunday. This wave has a low chance of development during the next few days. Residents are advised to keep updated on the progress of this wave.
North-easterly winds at 15km/h-20km/h will be experienced this afternoon, blowing predominantly form the south east from tonight throughout this forecast period. Sea conditions are forecast to be slight (0.5m-1.0m) becoming moderate (1.5m) on the east coast from Thursday evening. No significant haze intrusion is anticipated within this forecast period.
