A ridge pattern will be the dominant feature across Saint Vincent and the Grenadines this afternoon. After which, a tropical wave will be approaching the islands.
Tonight, the atmosphere will remain relatively dry and a few scattered showers are likely ahead of the wave. Moisture levels will increase from tomorrow afternoon as the axis of the tropical wave crosses the islands. Therefore, scattered moderate showers are forecast across SVG from Thursday afternoon. Some of the showers are associated with the Inter-tropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) behind of the wave. Therefore, instability will persist into Friday and Saturday, resulting in showers and a moderate chance of isolated thunderstorms across SVG.
Predominantly, an east north-easterly wind flow (15km/h-30km/h) will prevail across the island becoming east south-easterly from early Friday morning. Generally, seas will be slight to moderate in open water (1.0m-2.0m). Haze intrusion is anticipated to thin out around Thursday night.
