A few scattered showers are likely tonight into Tuesday, as a ‘low pressure area’ north-east of the island chain pulls moisture across the islands. The 'area' has medium (50%) chance of development, but is expected to move away from the islands during Tuesday. It could result in a trough moving into the region late Wednesday, with more showers and thunderstorm activity likely across St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) during Thursday. See image below at 10:30 am, compliments CIMMS.
Light (less than 10 km/h) south-easterly breeze should increase to moderate (up to 30 km/h) and become easterly during Tuesday,
and north-easterly as trough approaches Wednesday.
Slight (less than 1.2 m) sea conditions with north-easterly swells are across our islands, appearing smooth at times on west coasts. A gradual rise (1.0 – 1.5 m) is expected during Tuesday and good visibility could be interrupted with slight haze late Tuesday.
