Showers concentrated on the leeward-side of mainland St.Vincent during early afternoon, due to daytime heating and light winds. A tropical wave lingers east of the island chain near Barbados, while a cold-frontal boundary extends from the north-west into the island chain. Relatively cool temperatures could be experienced this weekend and shower activity is likely to increase across St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) during Sunday, as the tropical wave moves across the islands. Upper-levels could support thunderstorm activity during Monday.
Light to gentle (5 - 20km/h) north-easterly breeze could become calm at times, increasing to moderate (~30km/h) breeze late Saturday and further to fresh (25 – 40km/h) Monday night.
Slight to moderate (1.0 – 1.5 m) sea conditions with north-easterly swells across our islands could start rising late Sunday, into next week. Good visibility should continue until slight haze moves into the area Sunday night.
