The Atlantic High Pressure System is causing increased wind speeds across our area. Meanwhile, a weak shearline across the Northern Windward Islands is gradually dipping southward with occasional cloudiness and few showers across St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG). Scattered showers are expected by late Tuesday and instability could linger a few days.
Fresh to occasionally strong (30 – 45 km/h) north-easterly breeze could increase Tuesday night (40 - 50 km/h) in exposed areas. Wind speeds should be generally reduced by Friday.
Moderate (1.5 – 2.5 m) sea conditions with east north-easterly swells are across SVG and could become rough
, ranging 2.0 m to 3.0 m by Tuesday night…Small-craft operators and sea-bathers should exercise extreme caution for above normal swells and strong/brisk winds… Wave heights should be retreating to moderate conditions during Wednesday night. Good visibility continues across SVG, with occasional thin-films of haze.
