A weak trough linger just north east of the island chain with a surface to low level shear-line across our islands by early morning with a few scattered showers Thursday. No significant shower activity is expected until Friday afternoon when instability associated with the next tropical wave approaches our area. Although an upper level trough should be positioned just east of the island chain Friday afternoon, enhancement is expected to decrease by Saturday. This tropical wave coincides with troughing in the lower levels and significant vorticity at 850mb. Latest models indicate that rainfall accumulations around 2 inches are possible, with moisture/shower activity lingering into Saturday. Residents and motorists should be on the alert.
