Tonight, some scattered showers are forecast, and the chance of some showery activity is likely to increase as the week progress due to an increase in mid level moisture.
The strong high pressure system in the Atlantic Ocean, will lead to a continuation of strong east north east to easterly winds, before winds and seas gradually subside Tuesday into Wednesday. A moderate (25km/h) north-easterly wind flow and slight to moderate sea conditions (1.0m on west coast) to (2.5m on east coast) will prevail by Thursday.
Currently, sea conditions across the islands remain rough with swells peaking near 3.5m. A High-Surf Advisory and a Small-Craft Warning remains in effect until 11:00am on Wednesday 15th January 2020. Sea-bathers are advised to stay out of the water. Small craft operators should remain in port.
There will be no significant haze intrusion within this forecast period.
