A tropical wave moving along the ITCZ, is expected to cross our islands later today. Some pockets of moderate showers with isolated thunderstorm activity are possible this evening into tonight. Instability expected to linger into Tuesday. Another tropical wave should follow on Wednesday. Throughout the period, upper levels should enhance convective activity with occasional diffluent pattern, and divergence associated with upper trough Tuesday and Wednesday decreasing Thursday as dry air (SAL) 700mb level cross the area.
Saharan dust haze should gradually increase on Tuesday, reducing visibility Wednesday and Thursday.
Moderate to fresh easterly breeze this afternoon, should increase to strong breeze by Wednesday and Thursday. Ocean waters responding with moderate (1.8-2.5m) seas today increasing to rough (2-3m) by Wednesday and Thursday.
