Partly cloudy skies with a few scattered showers are anticipated tonight as a weak low level trough moves across the region. In addition, a few showers associated with this instability are forecast for tomorrow. After which, the Atlantic high pressure system will dominate over the weekend resulting in mostly fair and breezy conditions.
Predominantly, a light (10km/h- 25km/h) east north easterly wind regime will persist until around Saturday evening. After which, a moderate to strong (25km/h-40km/h) wind flow will move across the island chain as the ridge of high pressure builds.
Slight to moderate sea conditions, 1.0m on the western coasts and 1.5m on the eastern coasts, will be observed during the next 48 hours, becoming generally moderate (1.5m on the western coasts -2.0m on the eastern coasts) by Sunday.
There will be no significant haze intrusion within this forecast period.
