Low-level convergence to the west of Barbados resulted in some instability that triggered some scattered showers across the southern portion of St. Vincent & the Grenadines during mid-afternoon today. Similar conditions are approaching the islands that can generate occasionally cloudy skies with the possibility of a few showers into tomorrow. After a brief spell of light isolated morning showers on Wednesday, the likelihood decreases through Thursday as a ridge pattern builds and dominates.
Moderate to strong(25km/h-40km/h) easterly trades will move across the island chain, becoming south easterly on occasions. A slight decrease(up to 35km/h) is expected around Thursday, however conditions will still remain breezy. Moderate(1.5m -2.5m) sea conditions will continue as swells peak up to 1.5m on the western coasts and 2.2m on the eastern coasts, deteriorating to 2.5m on the eastern coast from early Tuesday. Therefore, small craft operators and sea bathers will be advised to exercise caution for above normal sea swells. A gradual improvement to slight to moderate(1.2m - 2.0m)is anticipated as early as Thursday.
