A trough system is expected to move closer to the islands tonight, increasing cloudiness and showers on Monday into Tuesday. Another upper level trough should position east of the island chain early Monday with subsident pattern causing moisture to be restricted to lower levels. Gentle to moderate (12-28km/h) east north-easterly breeze should become temporarily from east-southeast Monday afternoon.
Slight haze tonight could thin out significantly by Monday morning, but slight hazy conditions of varying intensity should continue for next few days.
Slight (0.6m - 1.2m) seas on the west coasts and moderate swells (1.2 m – 1.5 m) on the east coasts can be expected. Due to the low pressure area in the North Atlantic Ocean, north easterly moderate swells across SVG can be expected from Monday night.
Special features:The stationary (non-tropical) low in the North Atlantic Ocean about 1000 miles east-southeast of Bermuda, has shown signs of development. There is a medium (40%) chance that this low could acquire subtropical or tropical characteristics by the middle of the week while meandering over the central Atlantic Ocean. Associated troughing is expected across our area by Wednesday into Thursday.
