Unfavourable upper level conditions along the tropical wave’s axis suppressed shower activity and resulted in fair to partly cloudy skies early Wednesday. Nevertheless, an increase in cloudiness and a few showers were experienced across St. Vincent & the Grenadines shortly after noon. Lingering instability may allow for some light showers early Thursday as pockets of low-level moisture associated with the system continue to cross the island chain. As the weekend approaches, generally fair conditions should persist.
A gentle to moderate(15km/h to 30km/h) south easterly trade wind flow is anticipated over the next few days before becoming easterly on occasions around Friday.
Sea conditions will be moderate in open water with swells peaking at 1.5m on the western coasts and 2.5m on the eastern coasts. As a result small craft operators and sea-bathers should exercise caution for above normal sea swells. Slight conditions (up to 1.0m) are possible on the western coasts around late Friday, with a slight improvement on eastern (up to 1.2m) coasts as well.
Slight haze intrusion may be experienced across the islands late Thursday, but concentration should decrease ahead of the weekend.
