Hazy conditions are expected to continue across St. Vincent and the Grenadines with only slight improvement heading into the weekend. Models suggest some scattered showers are likely tonight as a south-easterly low to mid-level wind regime draws moisture to the islands. In addition to this, a marginally favourable upper level pattern remains in place and may provide enhancement to weak pulses that cross our islands as the week comes to an end. Therefore, occasional cloudiness and isolated light to moderate shower activity are quite possible.
East to east southeast (E-ESE) moderate to fresh (20km/h-35km/h) trades will be experienced across the island chain during the next 72 hours. Sea conditions will be slight to moderate in open water with swells peaking at 1.2m on the western coasts and 2.5m on the eastern coasts. Small craft operators and sea-bathers should exercise caution for above normal sea swells. Around Friday, a slight improvement (1.5m to 2.0m) may be experienced on eastern coasts.
