A favourable upper level pattern will remain in place for the next few days instigating cloudy conditions across St. Vincent and the Grenadines. An injection of mid-level moisture along with the aforementioned pattern can also be the catalyst for bringing some possible showers across the island chain late tonight(Saturday) into Sunday. Occasional cloudy skies are expected to continue across Monday with mid-morning showers likely on Tuesday as weak pulses traverse the islands.
Gentle to moderate (10km/h – 25km/h) easterly trades will move across Saint Vincent and the Grenadines during the next 72 hours becoming east south easterly on occasions. Slight to moderate sea conditions are anticipated, with swells peaking to 1.0m on the western coasts and 2.0m on the eastern coasts. Generally moderate sea conditions are forecasted for Sunday, with swell heights reaching up to 1.5m on the western coasts and about 2.0m on the eastern coasts. A slight decrease on eastern coasts(1.5m) is expected to return by mid-Monday.
Varying concentrations of Saharan dust haze will continue affect the visibility across the island chain over the weekend.
