A wake cloud stretched between Barbados and mainland St. Vincent with a few showers this afternoon. A few scattered showers could spread across St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) tonight into early Monday and a weak pulse (instability) could result in a few showers again Monday night. Some showers associated with an approaching tropical wave could inter-mix with slight hazy conditions due to Saharan dust concentrations, by Tuesday afternoon into Wednesday morning. Small-craft operators and persons with respiratory concerns should be aware that visibility and air quality could be reduced, with PM2.5 levels nearing 16 µg/m3 and PM10 levels nearing 45 µg/ m3 during Wednesday.
Moderate to occasionally fresh (~20 – 35 km/h) north-easterly breeze
could gradually increase to near 40 km/h by Tuesday night, with occasional gusts near 45 km/h.
Slight to moderate sea-conditions are across our islands, with swells up to 1.0 m on western coasts and up to 2.0 m on eastern coasts with easterly swells. Gradual increase in swell heights may be noticeable by Monday night and swell heights could be ranging 1.5 to 2.5 m across SVG by Wednesday afternoon with moderate sea-conditions.
