Varying concentrations of Saharan Dust will continue to move across the region during the next three days. A gradual thinning of the intrusion is anticipated tomorrow(Tuesday) into Wednesday across St Vincent & the Grenadines, increasing in thickness by Wednesday night. Small craft operators and persons with respiratory concerns should continue to exercise caution for low visibility and poor air quality. There is a chance for a few isolated showers on the mainland early Wednesday and across the Grenadines during the evening. Early Thursday, instability ahead of a tropical wave could start affecting the islands with light occasional showers. By evening however, moderate to heavy showers and isolated thunderstorms are likely to occur.
Moderate to strong(25km/h – 45km/h) east north easterly (ENE) trades will move across the islands over the next 12 hours before slightly decreasing(near 40 km/h) from Tuesday. Strong breeze is anticipated again on Thursday.
Moderate sea conditions with swells peaking to 1.5m on the western coasts and 2.5m on the eastern coasts are forecast during the next 24 hours. Small craft operators and sea bathers should continue to exercise caution for above normal sea swells. An improvement(2.0m) is likely around Wednesday on the eastern coasts.
