A tropical wave will be affecting the islands this afternoon into tonight resulting in light showers, becoming moderate with possible isolated thunderstorms by nightfall across Saint Vincent and the Grenadines. Moisture levels will remain elevated tomorrow, but the chance of showers will decrease, and mostly cloudy skies will be observed across SVG. Mostly fair conditions are forecast during the weekend. In addition, varying concentrations of Saharan Dust will continue to traverse the area during the next three days.
Winds will be predominantly from the east north east to east (ENE-E) at approximately 20km/h – 35km/h (with higher gust near showers this afternoon into tonight) during the next 72 hours.
Moderate sea conditions with swells peaking to 1.5m on the western coasts and 2.5m on the eastern coasts are forecast during the next 72 hours. Small craft operators and sea bathers should continue to exercise caution for above normal sea swells.
