Saharan dust concentrations will continue move across St. Vincent & the Grenadines, reducing in intensity as the week ends. Small craft operators and persons with respiratory concerns should continue to exercise caution for low visibility and poor air quality. Weak pulses may trigger some shallow brief isolated showers over next 24 hours whereas a few early morning and afternoon showers are anticipated on Saturday ahead of a tropical wave. By Sunday, instability trailing the wave would be affecting the islands.
Over the next 72 hours, moderate to occasionally strong(approximately 25km/h – 40km/h) east to east north easterly(E-ENE) trades will cross the islands. Winds should become east south easterly(ESE) on Sunday.
Sea conditions are moderate in open water with swells peaking to 1.5m on the western coasts and 2.5m on the eastern coasts. Small craft operators and sea bathers should exercise caution for above normal sea swells and reduced visibility especially on eastern coasts. Slight to moderate(1.2m -2.0m) conditions may return on Saturday.
