No significant shower activity will take place across Saint Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) tonight. A few early morning showers are likely and mostly hazy conditions will prevail across the island chain. In addition to the haze, occasional scattered showers are forecast throughout Friday.

A wave presently in the Central Atlantic is surrounded by dry Saharan dust, with moderate showers mostly to the south of the wave. This wave will approach SVG by late Friday night resulting in some moderate showers into early Saturday morning. It should be noted that the presence of dry Saharan dust around this time period can limit the intensity of the showers.

Model guidance is indicating that shower activity will decrease during Saturday, to increase by Saturday evening again, and over the course of Saturday night into early Sunday morning, SVG is likely to experience some light to moderate showers with chance of isolated thunderstorms.

Winds will be occasionally fresh tonight (~35km/h) blowing from the east north east (ENE), becoming mostly easterly by tomorrow. An ENE flow is anticipated ahead of the wave around Friday night, becoming ESE behind of the wave by Sunday at approximately 15km/h to 30km/h.

Slight to moderate sea conditions with swells peaking to 1.0m on the western coasts and 2.0m on the eastern coasts are forecast during the next 72 hours.
