The Atlantic High pressure system would continue to transport shallow cloud patches across St. Vincent & the Grenadines over the next few days triggering some sporadic light showers in the process. A mid- level trough draws nearer to the islands around nightfall (Tuesday) bringing a chance for some isolated early morning showers on Wednesday. Humid conditions are likely on Thursday as moisture approaches the islands from the south. A light wind regime may allow for some localised showers during mid to late afternoon on Friday.
Light to moderate (~10 - 25km/h)east north easterly (ENE) trades will move across the islands over the next 12 hours however a temporary change in the wind direction to east south easterly (ESE) is forecast for Wednesday. The flow would become easterly from late Thursday.
Slight to moderate sea conditions with swells peaking to 1.0m on the western coasts and 1.5m on the eastern coasts are forecast during the next 24 hours. A gradual improvement to slight(0.5m - 1.2m) is anticipated from late Wednesday.
Varying concentrations of Saharan dust haze should persist over the next few days with gradual improvement from Thursday. Residents should continue to exercise caution for reduced visibility and poor air quality.
