Scattered showers are likely tonight into Saturday as weak unstable conditions linger across St. Vincent & the Grenadines. Model guidance further suggests some low-level instability can trigger a few showers over the southern Grenadines on Saturday evening into early Sunday. Light to moderate showers are anticipated across the islands late Sunday as a tropical wave approaches the islands. Similar conditions should persist on Monday with a low chance of thunderstorm activity.
Light to fresh(~10 – 30km/h) east to east south easterly(E-ESE) trades are anticipated over the next 72 hours. Consequently, generally slight sea conditions with swells peaking to 0.5m on the western coasts and 1.2m on the eastern coasts are forecast. Conditions may become moderate(up to 1.5m) on the eastern coasts on Monday in light of the passage of the tropical wave.
Saharan dust concentrations could gradually thin out around Sunday, bringing an improvement to the visibility.
