Partly Cloudy to occasionally cloudy skies with scattered showers and isolated thunderstorm activity can be expected this afternoon. By tonight, conditions at the upper level support could trigger instability leading to periods of rain, moderate to heavy showers and thunderstorm activity Tuesday and Wednesday. This instability could linger further as a building Atlantic High Pressure at mid levels should position the island chain on the southern edge with adequate moisture. Hence, lower level convergence and upper level short-waves could lead to enhanced instability across our area. Residents and motorists should BE ON THE ALERT and take precaution to safeguard life and property. Watches/warnings may be issued on short notice.
Moderate breeze from the east-northeasterly this afternoon could increase to fresh breeze tonight (29-38km/h). Moderate breeze on Tuesday should veer to east south-easterly by Wednesday.
Slight to moderate (1.0m – 1.5m) seas across SVG can be expected for the next few days. On the east coasts a possible rise to moderate by Tuesday should be brief.

Special feature: A new depression over the Central Atlantic...NO THREAT TO ANY LAND AREAS...
Thunderstorm activity associated with a well-defined low pressure system about 850 miles east-southeast of Bermuda now has a high chance(80%) of developing into a tropical depression. Over the next couple of days, the system is expected to move north-northeastward over the open Atlantic. By the middle part of this week, the system is expected to reach colder water and merge with
a cold front.
