Intermittent isolated showers and breezy conditions are anticipated across Saint Vincent and the Grenadines tonight into tomorrow morning. There is also potential for isolated thunderstorms as pockets of instability linger from remnants of Gonzalo. Fair to partly cloudy skies are expected on Sunday with only light showers. A tropical wave should begin to affect the islands by nightfall and into Monday, however, some dry air intrusion could limit the showers associated with this feature as Saharan dust concentration would be present.
Moderate to fresh(~20-35km/h) trades are anticipated up to Monday. An east to east north easterly(E-ENE) flow on Sunday should shift to east south easterly(ESE) by Monday afternoon. Occasionally strong(~40km/h) trades will cross the islands on Tuesday.
Moderate to rough sea conditions with swells peaking near 2.5m on the western coasts and 3.5m on the eastern coasts are expected across the islands. Therefore, small craft operators and sea bathers are advised to exercise caution. A high surf advisory and small craft warning remains in effect until 6:00am tomorrow, 26th July, due to large swells of 3.0m to 4.0m (10ft – 13ft). A gradual improvement in sea conditions (1.0m-2.0m) will take place from Sunday afternoon.
