Today, a tropical wave triggered some moderate to heavy showers and isolated thunderstorms across St. Vincent & the Grenadines. Similar conditions are anticipated tonight into Friday morning as the feature progresses westward. Therefore, residents and motorists in areas prone to flooding and landslides or near rivers and streams are asked to remain alert. Saturday is forecast to be occasionally cloudy and breezy with scattered showers. Apart from some early morning showers on Sunday, fair to partly cloudy and warm conditions should persist.
Moderate to occasionally strong (20-40km/h) ENE trades will cross the island chain overnight as the wave passes, becoming ESE early Friday. Fresh(~35km/h) ENE-E breeze should cross the chain, by mid-afternoon Friday, increasing temporarily across Saturday before a slight decrease on Sunday. Consequently, sea conditions will gradually become moderate (1.5m-2.0m) from late Friday across SVG.
There will be no significant haze intrusion within this forecast period.
