A few scattered showers are likely across St. Vincent and the Grenadines (SVG) tonight as weak pulses approach the island chain. A ridge pattern would gradually rebuild from Tuesday bringing fair to partly cloudy conditions to our islands up to midweek. On Thursday however, light and variable wind speeds could result in warm conditions and increases the possibility for localised activity during the mid afternoon period.
Moderate to fresh(~15 – 35 km/h) trades should increase slightly tomorrow and even further (~20-40km/h) on Wednesday. However, on Thursday, the centre of Tropical Storm Teddy is expected to be positioned to the north east of the Eastern Caribbean and this would cause a significant decrease in wind speeds across the islands.
Sea-conditions are currently slight (~1.0 m) on western coasts and moderate (~1.5 m) on eastern coasts. These conditions are expected to slightly increase(~1.2m - 2.0m) tomorrow. A variation between the aforementioned heights(1.0m-1.5m and 1.2m-2.0m) is anticipated across Wednesday.
A plume of Saharan dust in close proximity to the Eastern Caribbean is expected to reduce the visibility from Tuesday.
