A ridge pattern would dominate and bring relatively fair weather conditions across St. Vincent & the Grenadines over the next few days but shallow patches of moisture can instigate some brief sporadic showers. On Thursday and especially Friday, light wind speeds could result in warm conditions and this increases the possibility of localised activity during the mid afternoon period.
Moderate to fresh(~15 – 35 km/h) east north easterly (ENE) trades should decrease slightly tomorrow and even further (~10-20km/h) on Thursday. By Friday, the centre of Tropical Storm Teddy is expected to be positioned to the north east of the Eastern Caribbean and this would cause a significant decrease in wind speeds across the islands. A south easterly flow is also anticipated by late afternoon.
Small craft operators and sea bathers should exercise caution for above normal sea swells. Sea-conditions are currently slight (~1.0 m) on western coasts and moderate (~2.0 m) on eastern coasts. Swell heights are expected to gradually increase to generally moderate(~1.5m - 2.0m) by Wednesday afternoon. A further deterioration to moderate to rough(1.8m-2.5m) is anticipated from Thursday.
Varying concentrations of Saharan dust haze should be visible throughout the forecast period.
