Weak unstable conditions with partly cloudy skies across St.Vincent and the Grenadines maintain the chance for isolated showers with thunderstorms, due to an area of low pressure pulling moisture northward. Over the next few days, occasional flash-flooding is possible as day-time heating along with increasing instability could support occasional moderate/heavy showers and thunderstorm activity…Be Alert; in areas prone to flash-flooding and land-slides, or near rivers and streams.
Light and gentle (~ 5 - 15 km/h’) breeze from the east north-east could turn east south-easterly during Monday and southerly by evening due to a low pressure area north of the island chain. Gradual increase
to moderate breeze (near 25 km/h) may be noticeable during Tuesday.
Smooth to slight sea-conditions are across the islands, with east north-easterly swells near 0.5 m on western coasts and near 1.0 m on eastern coasts. Swell heights could be rising during Tuesday (due to low pressure area north of island chain) and northerly long-period waves which travel far and fast are expected along the coastal waters of SVG by Tuesday night…Small-craft operators and sea-bathers should exercise extreme caution, as these waves are likely to cause life-threatening surf and rip currents as they slow down abruptly.
