Although a slightly northward migration of the ITCZ could result in a brief light spell of showers early Thursday, generally fair and warm conditions should be experienced across SVG as the atmosphere remains relatively dry and suppressive. Instability associated with a weak tropical wave could result in some moderate showers and possible thunderstorms activity early Friday whereas breezy conditions are likely by late evening and across Saturday as a ridge pattern quickly rebuilds.
Gentle to moderate (15-25km/h) east south easterly trades will move across the islands into tomorrow, slightly increasing (~30km/h)and becoming mostly easterly from Thursday. Fresh to strong(near 35km/h)are anticipated on Saturday.
At present, swells are slight(~1.0m) on the western coasts wheres they appear moderate(~1.5m) on eastern coasts. A gradual deterioration to the sea condition is anticipated by early Thursday with generally moderate(1.5m-2.0m) conditions. There exists the potential for increased(~2.7m) swell heights especially on eastern coasts as the weekend approaches as a result of increased wind speeds. Therefore small craft operators and sea bathers are advised to exercise caution for above normal sea swells. There will be no significant haze intrusion during the next 72 hours.
