The chance of showers and thunderstorms remain possible during the next 72 hours period as one tropical wave exits and another tropical wave approaches the region. In addition, upper levels will remain favourable for shower enhancement.
Generally cloudy skies with shower intensifying by this evening are forecast for SVG. This instability will last into tonight and tomorrow. From Friday night, showers will become more disorganized.
A moderate to occasionally fresh wind flow (20km/h-40km/h) will move across the islands, decreasing in speed (15km/h-35km/h) from tomorrow. The flow will be predominantly from the east, veering to east south east on occasions, becoming east north east by Saturday.
Sea conditions will remain moderate to rough in open waters, with swells peaking to 3.0m on the eastern coasts, and ranging between 1.5m-2.0m on the western coasts during the next 24 hours. Small craft operators and sea bathers should be prepared for above normal sea swells. In addition, haze intrusion is possible from this afternoon, resulting in moderate air quality.
