Occasional showers are forecast for this afternoon into tonight, some of which are likely to be moderate to heavy. Isolated to scattered showers associated with a tropical wave will begin to affect the islands on Tuesday. A favourable upper level environment remains present to enhance shower activity; however, marginal mid-level moisture is over the Eastern Caribbean, fluctuating with time, inhibiting deep convection. By late Tuesday night, an improvement is anticipated with a few occasional showers forecast for Wednesday and Thursday as upper levels become less favourable.
A moderate (15km/h-35km/h) easterly wind flow will move across the island chain over the next few days. Sea conditions will be slight to moderate in open waters, with swells peaking to 2.0m on the eastern coasts, and 1.0m on the western coasts during this 72 hours period. In addition, there will be no significant haze intrusion within this forecast period.
