The Atlantic high pressure system would influence the weather pattern over the next few days across SVG. Fair conditions will intermix with cloudy skies as low level clouds move across the islands with assistance from the trades within the next 24 hours. A few occasional scattered showers are also likely across Friday whereas slightly breezy conditions are anticipated for Saturday.
Gentle to occasionally fresh (15-30km/h) east to east north easterly trades will traverse the island chain during the next 24 hours. Winds would shift to south easterly across Thursday and Friday before becoming east north easterly on Saturday and increasing(~40km/h) in speed.
Seas are moderate in open waters, with east north easterly swells peaking at 1.5m on the western coasts and 2.5m on the eastern coasts. Small craft operators and sea bathers should continue to exercise caution. Slight to moderate(1.0m-2.0m) conditions are expected across Thursday and Friday but as winds increase on Saturday, seas may become slightly agitated and revert to generally moderate again.
In addition, there will be no significant haze intrusion within this forecast period.
